  1. Short

    13 words

Bookstagram Apothecary teaches authors and bookstagrammers the craft of book photography, made practical.

  2. Medium

    42 words

Bookstagram Apothecary teaches authors and bookstagrammers to photograph and style their books well. Its shot recipes, prop and gear guides, caption bank and mockup templates turn one window, a few well-chosen props and honest light into photographs that do a book justice.

  3. Long

    135 words

Bookstagram Apothecary is a studio for the craft of book photography, made practical. It teaches authors and bookstagrammers, especially those intimidated by flatlay styling, props, lighting and composition, to photograph their books with the care that went into writing them.

The studio's method is simple: one window, fewer props, honest light. Its shot recipes set out exactly where the light goes, which props to use, what angle to take and which camera settings to try; its prop and gear guides build small kits by budget and mood; its caption bank helps authors write about their books in their own voice; and its mockup templates give a clean, consistent image when there's no time to shoot.

Alongside its practical guides, the studio writes The Dispensary, a weekly newsletter with one good idea for your book photos.
